Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici‘s happily-ever-after (for now, anyway) has Jef Holm feeling misty-eyed. Although he and season-eight Bachelorette star Emily Maynard called off their own engagement last October, Holm watched the Monday, March 11 finale of The Bachelor — where Dallas hunk Lowe, 29, proposed to Seattle graphic designer Giudici, 26 — and immediately felt a kinship with the happy couple.
In a Sulia post entitled “How it feels to be Catherine . . . ” Holm, 28, gushed over their wedding plans and looked back fondly on his own engagement to Maynard. “I couldn’t be more excited for Sean & Catherine to start their life together. I remember like it was yesterday sitting in that same seat, it was so exciting to finally let everyone in on the big secret,” wrote the Utah native, whose proposal to Maynard aired on the Bachelorette finale last July. “Sean is a great guy… I can’t wait to meet Catherine & see them together!”
Holm and single mom Maynard, of course, didn’t go off into the sunset together. Following an August 2012 blowout fight — Maynard was sexting with Matt Leinart — the couple endured months of fabricated PDA-fests for the cameras before finally throwing in the towel.

Another Bachelor also-ran offering his congrats to Lowe? Ben Flajnik. “yo @SeanLowe09 , congrats bud! solid proposal my man,” the California winemaker and 16th Bachelor tweeted. He and Courtney Robertson also called off their engagement — marred from the very start by Flajnik’s photographed PDA-fests with other women — the same month as Maynard and Holm.
